The latest version of Windows Media Player which can be used with Windows XP (WMP V11) cannot play MP4 files without users having to download and install additional software. Also Apple Mac users cannot play WMV files without having to install additional software. For these reasons we have to provide all of our sample files in both MP4 file format and WMV (Windows Media) file format. Later versions of Windows Media Player which can play MP4 files cannot be installed on Windows XP systems.
